Polymarket Analytics with AI
A dashboard gives you a fixed set of charts. This page shows the other way to do it: ask for the cut you want in plain English and get a table back. It uses six of the 14 Polymarket tools in the Bitquery MCP server, in Claude, ChatGPT or Cursor.
It reads data only and cannot place an order.
claude mcp add --transport http bitquery https://mcp.bitquery.io
Every figure below came from the production server on 21 September 2026, between 15:11 and 15:15 UTC, with data 12 to 15 minutes behind the clock.
Where is the money today?
"Which Polymarket markets had the most volume in the last 24 hours?"
polymarket_top_markets, default sort.
| # | Market | 24h volume | Wallets |
|---|---|---|---|
| 1 | Colts vs. Chiefs | $4,070,630 | 283 |
| 2 | Will United Russia gain the most seats? | $3,815,310 | 493 |
| 3 | Packers vs. Jets | $1,595,455 | 190 |
| 4 | Raiders vs. Chargers | $1,486,917 | 133 |
| 5 | Panthers vs. Falcons | $1,385,725 | 153 |
Where is the crowd?
"Now rank them by the number of wallets that traded."
Same tool, sorted by traders.
| # | Market | Wallets | 24h volume |
|---|---|---|---|
| 1 | Browns vs. Buccaneers | 3,089 | $1,304,941 |
| 2 | Milwaukee Brewers vs. Baltimore Orioles | 2,450 | $340,780 |
| 3 | Will CD Leganés vs. Granada CF end in a draw? | 2,123 | $91,754 |
| 4 | Solana Up or Down, 21 September, 8AM ET | 1,264 | $21,015 |
| 5 | Will Panaitolikos Agrinio win on 20 September? | 776 | $11,171 |
Not one market is on both lists. The biggest market by money had 283 wallets, about $14,384 each. The Leganés draw market had 2,123 wallets at about $43 each. Volume tells you where a few large accounts are. Wallet count is closer to the crowd, and a dashboard that shows only one of the two hides half the picture.
Row 3 deserves a second look, though. It had 2,188 orders from 2,123 wallets at an average price of 0.97. One small order each on a near-certain outcome is not what a crowd of fans looks like, so check orders per wallet before you call a market popular.
Slice by subject
"Show the biggest politics markets over the last 7 days."
polymarket_top_markets takes a category (sports, crypto, politics, esports, weather, stocks, mentions, entertainment) and a title search, together or alone.
| # | Market | 7-day volume | Wallets |
|---|---|---|---|
| 1 | Will United Russia (ER) gain the most seats in the next Russian parliamentary election? | $7,895,729 | 894 |
| 2 | Will New People (NL) gain the most seats in the next Russian parliamentary election? | $1,391,623 | 440 |
| 3 | Will United Russia (ER) win the most seats in the next Russian parliamentary election? | $827,239 | 137 |
| 4 | Will AfD win the most seats in the 2026 Mecklenburg-Vorpommern elections? | $419,479 | 332 |
| 5 | Will Flávio Bolsonaro win the 2026 Brazilian presidential election? | $329,878 | 191 |
Read rows 1 and 3 twice. Their titles differ by one word, "gain" and "win", and they are different questions. polymarket_market_info returns each market's written rules: row 3 asks which party wins the most seats, and row 1 asks which party's seat count rises the most compared with before the election. Row 1 traded almost ten times as much. Every answer carries a question id. Pass that id to the next tool instead of the title, or you may chart the wrong market.
How did the odds move?
"Show the daily close and volume for Yes on the first market since 12 September."
polymarket_market_price_history with a one-day interval. Intervals run from 1 second to 1 day.
| Day | Yes close | Volume on Yes |
|---|---|---|
| 12 Sep | 0.79 | $69,175 |
| 13 Sep | 0.80 | $17,215 |
| 14 Sep | 0.77 | $69,756 |
| 15 Sep | 0.77 | $170,235 |
| 16 Sep | 0.73 | $474,884 |
| 17 Sep | 0.76 | $183,599 |
| 18 Sep | 0.83 | $833,802 |
| 19 Sep | 0.81 | $1,163,964 |
| 20 Sep | 0.985 | $3,528,998 |
| 21 Sep, part day | 0.999 | $786,474 |
A price is dollars per share between 0 and 1, so 0.79 is a 79% chance. For eight days the close sat between 73% and 83%. On 20 September it went from 0.81 to 0.985, and that one day carried 48% of the ten days' volume. Then look at the last row: $786,474 changed hands at an average of 0.9946 when the question was all but settled. Those buyers paid 99.5 cents for a dollar. polymarket_market_events puts the official resolution at 12:43 UTC on 21 September, one minute after the last Yes trade.
The same tool's Vwap column is the safer number on a thin day. A close is one fill, and on a quiet market that fill can be a few cents of dust.
How big was it over its life?
"What are the odds and lifetime volume on that market?"
polymarket_market_odds returns one row per outcome.
| Outcome | Price | Lifetime volume | Lifetime trades |
|---|---|---|---|
| Yes | 0.999 | $11,103,433 | 64,523 |
| No | 0.001 | $2,026,043 | 51,476 |
That is $13.1 million across 115,999 trades since the first one on 7 January 2026. Add an at_time and the same call gives the odds as they stood at any past moment, which is how you check what the market believed when a piece of news broke.
Who holds what is left?
"Who holds the most Yes shares in that market?"
polymarket_outcome_holders:
| # | Holder | Yes shares | Share of all Yes | First acquired |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| 1 | 0x59368957...0b7b | 140,452 | 20.9% | 21 Sep 2026 |
| 2 | 0x5c14eb6a...cc49 | 89,422 | 13.3% | 29 Apr 2026 |
| 3 | 0x7818687f...d185 | 45,000 | 6.7% | 12 Aug 2026 |
| 4 | 0x58490840...4986 | 26,300 | 3.9% | 12 Sep 2026 |
| 5 | 0x4a86dfe0...501e | 26,047 | 3.9% | 19 Sep 2026 |
4,628 addresses still hold Yes, and five of them hold 48.8% of the 671,029 shares outstanding. The largest holder first acquired its shares on the morning of 21 September, a day when Yes never traded below 98 cents. Balances are rebuilt from every share movement, plain transfers included, so they are holdings and not a guess from the order tape.
One caution the tool gives itself: a holder of record is often a proxy contract or a market maker's address, so do not read each row as one person. Run the list through labels_for_addresses first. Here it named one of the five, number 3, as a Polymarket deposit address.
A prompt you can reuse
"For Polymarket over the last 24 hours, give me two top-10 lists, by volume and by number of wallets, and mark any market on both. For the largest market, show the daily Yes close and volume for the past two weeks, the lifetime volume per outcome, and the five largest holders of Yes with their share of supply."
What to know before you rely on it
- Read-only. No order placement and no order book depth.
- One market at a time below the rankings. There is no single call for all-of-Polymarket volume per day. The rankings cover many markets; history, odds and holders take one question id.
- A few minutes behind. Calls on this page trailed the clock by 12 to 15 minutes. A window of an hour or two can be partly unrecorded, and the first row of each answer says so.
- History starts in September 2025.
- Categories are a best-effort sort. They come from each market's own wording, and sports and crypto together make up about three quarters of all markets.
- Volume counts resting orders by default. That is the right basis for market volume. Ask for taker orders if you want the aggressive side only.

Frequently Asked Questions
How can I analyse Polymarket data with AI?
Add the Bitquery MCP server at https://mcp.bitquery.io to Claude, ChatGPT or Cursor and ask in plain English. The model calls tools that rank markets by volume or wallets, return odds history at any interval from 1 second to 1 day, give lifetime volume per outcome and list the holders of an outcome.
Where can I see Polymarket trading volume by market?
polymarket_top_markets ranks markets by dollar volume, orders, distinct wallets or fees over a window of up to 30 days, and can be narrowed by category or by words in the title.
Can I get historical Polymarket odds?
Yes. polymarket_market_price_history returns open, high, low, close, VWAP and volume per interval for each outcome, and polymarket_market_odds with at_time gives the odds at any past moment. History starts in September 2025.
Is the most traded market also the most popular?
Often not. On 21 September 2026 no market was in both the top five by volume and the top five by wallets. The largest market by money had 283 wallets at about $14,384 each; a market with 2,123 wallets averaged about $43.
Can it show total Polymarket volume per day?
Not in one call. The tools rank markets and then work on one market at a time. For exchange-wide daily totals use the Bitquery Polymarket GraphQL API or the Parquet exports.
Do I need an API key?
No. You add the server URL to your client and sign in once with a Bitquery account in the browser.
