Solana MCP Server
The Bitquery MCP server lets an AI client answer questions about Solana trading and money movement. You ask in Claude, ChatGPT, Cursor, VS Code or Codex, the agent picks a tool, and rows come back from Bitquery's index of Solana DEX trades and transfers.
It reads data only. It cannot sign or send a transaction, and it does not hold keys. If you want an MCP that helps you write Solana programs, that is the Solana Foundation's developer MCP; this one is for market and wallet research.

Every figure on this page came from a call to the production server on 21 September 2026, between 10:19 and 10:25 UTC. Solana moves fast, so your numbers will differ.
What can I ask?
What is trading most on Solana today?

The agent calls trending_tokens with the chain set to Solana.

Rows 5 to 8 were four small tokens up between 4,618% and 11,241% on $70 million to $119 million of volume each. Wrapped SOL went from $108.00 to $115.66.
Look at rows 1 and 2 again. Neither address is the real one. Tether's Solana address starts Es9vMF, and the "SОL" in row 2 is spelled with a Cyrillic letter. The next question shows how to catch that.
Is that volume real?

Both trade on one venue only, Orca Whirlpool, and the first token's nine minutes fell on 20 September.
Five trades between two wallets produced a reported $987 million. The answer also lists what each token was swapped for, and the two counterfeits were swapped for each other. A handful of swaps of made-up size printed a dollar figure that nobody paid. On the second token the tool also sets Symbol_NonAscii to 1, its flag for look-alike letters.
Two habits follow. Give the agent a token address, because a symbol is not unique on Solana. And before you trust a volume figure, ask how many wallets stood behind it.
What launched on pump.fun in the last six hours?

All five share a name theme, and all five had already lost at least 98.8% from their peak price. BABYJEAN peaked at a valuation of $427,193 before falling to $3,483. Valuation here is price times total supply, which the tool labels FDV. The peak and the fall come back in the same row so the agent can tell a live launch from one that is over.

The same answer lists the 20 largest wallets of that minute. Two things stand out. Four wallets each made a single buy of $2,061 to $2,371 at the same instant, 1.2 seconds after the first trade. And the largest wallet of the minute, 3e1hq8LB...Cctm, bought nothing in the window and sold $8,648 across 19 trades, starting at 14.8 seconds.

Arriving in the first second did not pay much here. The best of the six made $35.63.
Where did the seller's money go?

Two calls. solana_address_profile says the wallet sent 65 transfers to 7 receivers in 30 days and received 61 from 3 senders, so it is a small wallet and not an exchange. solana_trace_next_hop, pinned to native SOL, ranks where the money went:

That is 268.68 SOL to five unlabeled wallets, all between 51 and 142 seconds after the token's first trade. A trace stops when a receiver carries a label such as an exchange. None did here, so the next step would be the same call on each receiver.
One gap: solana_transfers_in returned no rows for this token on this wallet, so the transfer data does not say how the wallet got the tokens it sold.

What to know before you rely on it
- Read-only. No signing, no sending, no account state. For those you need a Solana RPC node.
- Check the token address. Counterfeit tokens copy names and symbols, and one topped the volume ranking on the day this page was written.
- Dollar volume can be fake. Ask for the number of trades and wallets before quoting a figure.
- Trade history is about 30 days. A launch older than that is anchored at the start of the history, and the tool sets
Launch_May_Predate_Historyto say so. - Transfer tools default to 90 days. Raise
daysto look further back. An empty answer can mean the window ended. - Transfer amounts are in token units. There is no dollar value on a transfer, so totals of different tokens cannot be added.
- No program logs. Search programs with
solana_find_instructions. Decoded events and token-holder lists are not available for Solana.

Frequently Asked Questions
Is there an MCP server for Solana data?
Yes. The hosted Bitquery MCP server at https://mcp.bitquery.io covers Solana DEX trades, token prices, pump.fun launches, trader rankings and wallet-to-wallet transfers. It connects to Claude, ChatGPT, Cursor, VS Code and Codex over Streamable HTTP with an OAuth login.
Can it send Solana transactions or swap tokens?
No. It is read-only and holds no keys. To send a transaction you need a wallet and a Solana RPC node.
Does it cover pump.fun?
Yes. new_tokens with the address pattern %pump lists pump.fun launches, token_launch_stats summarises the first seconds of one launch, and early_buyers ranks the first wallets in.
How do I avoid counterfeit tokens in the answers?
Give the agent the token address. A symbol such as USDT or SOL is reused by fake tokens on Solana. Then ask token_dex_venues how many trades and wallets stand behind a volume figure.
How far back does the data go?
Trade and price history reaches back about 30 days. Transfer tools search the last 90 days by default and can look further back when you raise the days setting.
Do I need an API key?
No. You add the server URL to your client and sign in once with a Bitquery account in the browser.
